Heviz lies on the shores of the largest thermal lake in Europe where the surface water temperature averages 89 degrees Fahrenheit in summer when Indian water lilies bloom, and a steaming 77 Fahrenheit in winter. Wooden catwalks built over the lake allow easy access for swimming and in winter there are also thermal baths adjacent to the lake. Holiday Club Heviz is only a 5 minute walk from the spa center where many forms of health treatment are used. Lake Balaton is only about five miles away and offers many water sport activities. The area around Balaton is also worth discovering.
